I am absolutely in LOVE with these Indie & Arrow hanging planters!!

I had been eyeing them up for quite sometime and happen to win

Fall Bucket List

Last Night while i was in the check out line at Joanna's buying stuff for the many dream catchers I have to make, it dawned on me that we are more than half way through September and I 

haven't done anything fall related ! The past few years the holidays and season seem to be flying by and 

this year I really want to make the most of it and soak up every second of it. So I spent the 

morning on Pinterest looking for inspiration and making a fall bucket list. ..

-Roast Pumpkin Seeds

- Make Spiced Pumpkin Ginger Bread Cookies

-Buy Seasonal Candles and Have My House Smell Like Fall all Season Long

Wild and Lovely Link up - Photos from our week

For this weeks link up we are sharing pictures from our week. These are my favorite kind of blog 

posts to do ! Hence why I started a lifestyle blog =) I love taking 

photos of everyday life and capturing little details of the day and things

that make that day a little brighter! 

Especially since this week has been a bit of a tough one! First Kyler got the stomach flu and

not shortly after so did momma. At least I got it on a sunday when my husband didn't have work and 

could help out (trying to look on the bright side here! haha). Naturally you guys do not want to see

pictures of that, so i snapped a few shots

from around the house, little touches of fall are gracing our home !

Yesterday we finally started feeling better 

and managed to get out of the house for a little bit. We ran a few errands, went on a nature walk

and than when my husband got of work we headed over to

the beach for a little family time! 

I hope you all are having a lovely week and I hope none of you get the stomach flu !

Homemade Pickles

I know we all have fall on the mind and this is definitely a bit of a summer post, but i took these photos months ago and have just now gotten around to posting them! I wanted to share my Dads homemade pickle recipe with you all because it is just so good ! He picks all his cucumbers from the garden so they are home grown, organic and delicious !

Recipe:
1/4 cup pickling salt
1/2 gallon of water
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup white vinegar
2 tsps pickling spice
2 cloves of pressed garlic per jar
Cucumbers

Instructions:
Boil salt, water, sugar, and vinegar in a pot for 7 minutes. Remove from heat and add pickling spice (wrapped in cheesecloth bundle). Let cool for 5 minutes. Fill a mason jar with sliced cucumbers and pressed garlic, then pour slightly cooled pickling water to the top of the jar. Seal and refrigerate for up to a week before eating.

Birthday Weekend

We escaped to palm springs for my birthday weekend ! We stayed at the Westin Hotel for two nights, it was so nice to get away and relax by the pool all weekend ! here are a few highlights from our trip via the iphone ...

> Devotions on the patio
>Beautiful Sunsets
> Lounging by the pool all weekend
> We brought our own drinks and packed a picnic, that we enjoyed on out patio
> The hotel had a luau one night with live music and hawaiian dancers
> We went home feeling very relaxed and refreshed !
